I think I saw a UFO?
I live in cnd on the queen Charlotte islands and I saw very high up in the sky a red,blue,white maybe orange lights and it was flying directly up then down diagnally going down on a pretty significant slant, the only thing I can think fly like that is a helicopter but it was way to high so what was it?

Yes over water yesterday at 8 pm in a small town on a little island
Then maybe it was a helicopter. Sound does not travel the way you think, wind at that height could have been blowing away and how could you tell what height it was? Problem is that unless we get a good idea of what we are looking at, it is hard to get the height right. You can judge a building or a plane as we pretty much know how big they are when you can see it properly, airliners for example we see at airports and see other objects near them to get an idea of comparison. But just a light and it gives the human eye brain combination problems, there is nothing to put it against and the light spreads and diffuses in the atmosphere and even that varies from day to day depending on the air quality.
Also maybe it was a coast guard exercise or a real rescue. Was it over the water?
