Do I have bats in my area? If so, how do I attract them?
I live within 10 minutes of Nashville, TN in a more small-townish/ secluded area. The city's pollution and lights shouldn't be a problem with this. I was wondering what kind of bats (if any) I have in my area and what kind. This is the most important question, and counts for most of how much credit you get for your answer. This question (if you answer it) will add some extra points toward you for a best answer. How would I attract this certain type of bat? I neither have a pond nor a pool (I've heard that having a lot of water in your yard can attract them) and can not control whether I get one or not because I am only 13 and that is my parent's decision. I can't do anything extravagant and I only have about $150. Thanks!!!!!
P.S. Any extra tips to attract wildlife in this area would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, you have bats in your area. If you want to attract them to your yard you will need someplace for them to hang out during the day. You can buy a bat house from several web sites, or you can build one by using these plans:
