Inline Power Fan
ENGINES: v6 vs inline 6? noticeable difference?
i'm asking because i know that i LOVE 6cylinder engines, and i'm looking at cars like the non turbo 300zx of the 90s. these are v6-powered. not really a fan of the 350z.
i'm also looking at BMW 3-series cars from that same era, or a lexus is300, etc. these cars are inline 6 powered. i am leaning towards these type of cars, but the older 300zx is cheaper.
i heard that inline 6 is smoother and more performance oriented and v6 is just more compact to save space.
what i really want to know is if there is a tangible/noticeable difference when driving either?
Straight six is smoother, they pull and pull and are a delight but I know a bit about BMW and if you choose this Munich Marque it is better if you can change the head gasket yourself.
