grow light times

Would you expect a tomato plant or a jade plant to grow better under continuous light?
Tomato plants carry out basic (C3) photosynthesis while jade plants are CAM type. Which plant would you expect to grow better under continuous light conditions (no night time), assuming both plants are well-watered? Explain.
I would expect a jade plant to thrive better under continuous light.
This is because in dry areas, C3 plants will shut their stomata to reduce water loss. However, this stops carbon dioxide from entering the leaves, which reduces the concentration of carbon dioxide in the leaves. This will increase the oxygen to carbon dioxide ratio, which in turn increases photorespiration. Photorespiration leads to a net loss of carbon and nitrogen, which can limit growth.
However, CAM plants have adaptations which allow them to survive in hot and dry areas, so they will grow better under these conditions than C3 plants will.
